I want to go this way, what should I do?

Above is today’s ‘Route Hack’ story.

In front of ‘Plane in-out, how do you decide?‘ I will talk about another in / out today.

By the way, this is not ‘city’ but ‘country’! Why should we talk about the city, ‘The country is too big! Please put in the city ~ ‘ Please refer to. You have to tell the city / region.

Let’s go to a city where people travel a lot.

■ In / out, where is the candidate airport?

Most of the IN / OUT will be made at major airports in each country. In Korea, it is common to use ICN at Incheon International Airport. It is possible to depart / arrive at Gimhae International Airport PUS or Jeju International Airport CJU, but it is natural to leave Incheon International Airport because the number of flights departing / arriving from Incheon International Airport is overwhelming.

The main (hub) airports of the countries mentioned above are:

UK – London Heathrow LHR (or London Gatwick LGW, whatever London)
Spain – Madrid MAD (or Barcelona BCN)
Italy – Rome FCO
Czech Republic – Prague PRG
Switzerland – Zurich ZRH
Croatia – Zagreb ZAG

LHR, LGW, FCO, … This is the IATA code, which is a simple way to mark the airports around the world. You can get used to seeing a lot.

By the way, London, Madrid and Rome are more ‘overwhelming‘ than other places in the above cities. Perhaps it will be proportional to the national power of the country. If there are many flights, the competition will be relatively competitive, and the price is often cheaper. So if your travel route or moving order is not a special place, you might want to set it as an in-out place.

In this case, Swiss Zurich ZRH and Prague PRG are good in in-out city, but when compared to Paris CDG / London LHR / Rome FCO / Frankfurt FRA, if there is not much difference in total distance, it is often reasonable to choose one among them.

■ Let’s change the airport, HUB airport

Madrid IN / Rome OUT (7,079 Km) may also be less efficient than London IN / Madrid OUT (6,951 Km), but it is a very good route. However, London IN / Madrid OUT seems to be better because you have to go to and from London. (And the travel distance is shorter.)

London IN / Rome OUT (7,238 Km) is longer than London IN / Madrid OUT (6,951 Km), Madrid IN / Rome OUT (7,079 Km), but still good enough.

Would not it be better than major airports? I thought London IN / Dubrovnik OUT with this thought. But we have to move longer than we have seen before. More importantly, Dubrovnik in or out is more likely to be more expensive because airline tickets are more restrictive than major airports. (Expensive, not efficient !!!!)

■ So where should I go in / out?

As we have seen above, in this case

1, London In / Madrid OUT (6,951 Km, 76 h)
2. Madrid Inn / Rome OUT (7,7079 Km, 77 h)
3. London / Rome OUT (7,238 Km, 79 h)

In order to be efficient. (Or inverted)

However, there is not much difference in movement efficiency in each case so that you can choose what you want. And because we chose it at major airports in Europe, there are plenty of tickets. So you can choose the cheapest ticket in each case.

The sky park west of Manhattan (?), The High Line. The hotel overlooks the Hudson River, so there is a good hotel and a place where Party Goers are also loved. The hotel was chosen from The Standard. I do not usually take a bath, but I think I should go for a bath. 🙂

“바라고 바라던 유럽여행을 드디어 떠나게 되었습니다.

보통 “런던 in / 파리 out” 하던데,

저는 영국은 별로 가고 싶지 않아서 ‘파리 in / 로마 out’을 하면 되나요?

가고 싶은 나라는 프랑스, 스위스, 스페인, 이탈리아, 체코에요.

로마로 들어가서 위의 나라들 돌고, 파리로 나오면 괜찮은가요?”

지난 번에 런던 in / 파리 out, 남들 따라하다 2000 Km 손해라면? 를 이야기 했었는데, 오늘은 ‘파리 in / 로마 out’ 이네요.

결론은, 파리 in / 로마 out 이 좋을 수도 있고, 나쁠 수도 있습니다.

왜냐면, 가고 싶은 곳을 정확히 이야기하지 않고 국가 단위로 이야기해서 어떤 곳을 가느냐에 따라서 완전히 달라질 수 있습니다. 최적 루트는 ‘국가’말고 ‘도시’로 이야기해야 만들 수 있습니다.

그래도 가고 싶은 곳을 나라로 이야기해도, 도시로 ‘알아서’ 만들어 보겠습니다.

CASE: 파리/니스, 인터라켄, 프라하, 베니스/피렌체/로마, 바르셀로나

스페인에서 바르셀로나만 간다면, 파리 in – 로마 out 도 괜찮은 선택입니다.

아래 루트를 보면 알겠지만, 최적 루트인 “바르셀로나 In – 프라하 Out (4,190 Km)” 와 비교해서 “파리 In – 로마 Out (4,343 Km)” 는 5% 미만으로 차이나는 루트가 됩니다.

평소처럼 다음과 같은 질문에 ‘뭐 이런 것 쯤이야!’하고 답을 했습니다.

“40~50일 동안,
파리, 프랑크푸르트/뮌헨/퓌센,

그리고 이탈리아 여행하려는데
파리 In / 부다페스트 Out 괜찮나요?”

실제로 저 루트의 효율적인 순서는,

파리 In (5박) – 프랑크푸르트(2) – 뮌헨/퓌센(3) – 부다페스트(3) – 두브로브닉(2) – 피렌체(3) – 나폴리(2) – 로마(3) Out (4,366 Km, 이동 45시간) 이니까,

“부다페스트 Out도 좋지만, 로마 Out, 나폴리 Out 을 좋은 가격이 구할 수 있으면 더 좋겠습니다.”

그러자 다음과 같은 물음,

“이탈리아에서 크로아티아는 페리로 이동하는데, 그래도 이게 최선인가요?”

스위스에서 골든패스, 빙하특급, 베르니아익스프레스 모두 정복하려고 하는데 루트 괜찮을까요?”

이런 질문에

“님아, 일정이 너무 빡빡해요. 이동하다 끝나요!”
“골든패스, 빙하특급, 베르니아 익스프레스, 뭐하러 모두 타나요!”
“루가노, 뭐 볼 거 있다고 거기까지 가나요!”

이렇게 답하면 지는 겁니다. 🙂

일정이 빡빡하면 기간을 늘리면 되고 (늘릴 수 있으면 부러워TT), 늘릴 수 없으면 여정을 조정하면 됩니다.
그런데 여정을 조정하려고 해도, ‘도시에 며칠을 머물러야 하지?’,’ 어떤 순서로 돌아야 하지?’ 기준을 알려줘야 조정할 것 아닌가요?

여행 순서와 기준이 되는 여행 기간을 알려주기가 어려운 것은 알겠는데, 여행 계획 만드는 사람에게 처음부터 뭐라하면 여행가고 싶지 않게 됩니다.

다 알면 뭐하러 물어보나요! 그냥 하면 되지.

(요즘 제가 눈여겨 보고 있는 노르웨이!
누가 저한테 “노르웨이 4대 피요르드 뭐하러 모두 봐요?”, “오로라 뭐 볼 거 있다고 오슬로에서 2000 Km나 떨어진 트롬쇠까지 가요?” 이런 이야기하면 서운해서, 감정 이입해서 이러는 것은 절대 아닙니다! 아니라고요!)

런던 In / 파리 Out 티켓, 남들 따라하다 2000Km 손해라면?

“안녕하세요? 유럽 여행을 가려고 맘먹고 있었는데, 싼 티켓이 보여서 남들이 많이 가는 런던 In / 파리 Out 으로 질렀습니다. 그래서 루트를 정하고 있는데, 루트 좀 봐주세요.

생각하는 순서는

런던 – 베를린 – 뮌헨 – 프라하 – 부다페스트 – 비엔나 – 짤츠부르크 – 루체른 – 인터라켄 – 베네치아 – 로마 – 이탈리아 남부 – 파리

입니다. 제 루트 어떤가요?”

어떻기는요?!!
로마까지 내려갔다가 돌아가려고 다시 파리까지 올라가야하는 루트라고요!

일단 지른 것은 좋은데 지금 생각하는 루트보다 1,000 Km 정도 더 효율적인 루트가 있고, 만약 런던 In/로마 Out 이었다면 2,000 Km 정도 효율적인 루트가 있습니다.

우리가 계획적인 사람은 아니지만, 발권하기 전에 “여행의 시작 – Arrangy”를 한 번만 돌리면 변경 수수료 아끼고, 이동하느라 지칠 일도 없습니다.
